How you learn here

Every word gets a picture and one sentence linking how it sounds to what it means — strange enough to come back to you. The word then returns just before you would forget it, and after your first 50 words you can read a short story built from the words you already know.

Common questions

How much time does it take?
Five to ten minutes a day. A new word is learned once, and the reviews are short and spread further apart as it sticks.
What does it cost?
Opening an account is free, with no card, and comes with 1000 coins — 100 words. Every day you study adds coins, and so do writing associations and inviting up to 10 friends. If you want to go faster, you can buy coins.
Do I need to know the language already?
No. You start from the most common words, and every word has a speaker recording and a transcription.
What happens to words I forget?
They come back sooner, and you can practise only the hard ones.
