How you learn here
Every word gets a picture and one sentence linking how it sounds to what it means — strange enough to come back to you. The word then returns just before you would forget it, and after your first 50 words you can read a short story built from the words you already know.
Common questions
- How much time does it take?
- Five to ten minutes a day. A new word is learned once, and the reviews are short and spread further apart as it sticks.
- What does it cost?
- Opening an account is free, with no card, and comes with 1000 coins — 100 words. Every day you study adds coins, and so do writing associations and inviting up to 10 friends. If you want to go faster, you can buy coins.
- Do I need to know the language already?
- No. You start from the most common words, and every word has a speaker recording and a transcription.
- What happens to words I forget?
- They come back sooner, and you can practise only the hard ones.
